Services, stitched and fitted to the millimetre

From the first swatch to the final hook, our Kundaim workshop and installation teams handle curtains, blinds, wall & floor coverings, custom mattresses, and furniture upholstery for homes across Panjim, Miramar and beyond.

Curtain stitching

One fabric, six very different hangs

The heading — how the top of a curtain is finished and hung — decides its entire character. Our tailors cut and stitch every heading in-house at Kundaim, matched to your fabric weight, track or rod, and the drape you want.

Rod pocket

Also called a slot heading

A stitched channel along the top edge slides directly onto the rod, gathering the fabric into soft, continuous ripples with no visible hardware.

  • Best for lightweight sheers and cafe curtains
  • Fabric gathers evenly, hiding the rod completely
  • Simple to hang, but slides less freely for daily use

Back tab

Also called a backloop heading

Loops are stitched to the reverse of the fabric, out of sight, so the front reads as one clean, flat drop while soft rounded folds form naturally at the top.

  • Tailored, contemporary look with no visible tabs or rings
  • Works well on tracks and decorative rods alike
  • Holds structured folds without the bulk of pleats

Pinch pleat

Also known as a pleated heading

Fabric is folded and hand-stitched into evenly spaced pleat clusters, each hooked to a ring or carrier, giving a crisp, tailored fall favoured for living and dining rooms.

  • Structured, formal finish that holds its shape
  • Suits medium to heavy fabrics and long-term use
  • Pairs naturally with decorative rods and rings

Ripple fold

Also called a wave heading

A specialised tape draws the fabric into one continuous, uniform S-curve across the entire track, gliding on carriers for the smoothest, most contemporary wave.

  • Consistent, unbroken wave from end to end
  • Runs on a dedicated wave track — glides with one finger
  • Favoured for large windows and floor-to-ceiling drops

Eyelet

Also called a grommet heading

Reinforced metal rings are set directly into the fabric and thread straight onto the rod, forming neat, even hourglass folds with the smoothest daily glide.

  • Clean, minimal look — no hooks or rings needed
  • Slides effortlessly along a plain rod
  • Suits medium-weight fabrics in bedrooms and living areas

Tab top

Also called a loop heading

Fabric loops are stitched to the front of the curtain and thread over the rod, sitting proudly on show for a relaxed, casual hang with visible gaps between folds.

  • Informal, breezy character — a Goa villa favourite
  • Best on decorative wooden or wrought-iron rods
  • Fixed loops mean less movement than a glide rail
